Social Listening with AI: A Step-by-Step Guide to Automated Lead Prospecting

Social listening is an arduous and time-consuming task that can quickly overwhelm even the most dedicated marketing teams. Manually scouring multiple social media platforms for potential leads, tracking competitors, and identifying market trends can feel like searching for a needle in a digital haystack. But what if there was a way to automate this process, making it more efficient and effective? In this comprehensive guide, I will show you how to leverage ModularMind's advanced features to revolutionize your social listening strategy, enabling 24/7 lead prospecting and competitor tracking.

In this comprehensive guide, I'll walk you through the process of setting up an automated workflow using ModularMind to continuously search for potential leads and track competitors on social platforms like X and Reddit.

Step 1: Set Up MindPass

Before diving into the workflow, ensure you're logged into your social media accounts using MindPass. This allows ModularMind to access the platforms seamlessly. Learn more about setting up MindPass here: Use MindPass to securely authenticate your AI assistants.

Step 2: Create Search Prompts

Next, we'll create search prompts for each platform. These prompts will instruct the AI model on what to look for and how to retrieve the information. We provide the search link to the model, instruct it to automatically swap out the search terms as needed, and conduct multiple searches simultaneously to gather all the results at once. Here are the prompts for X and Reddit:

Prompt for retrieving search results from X:

Here's the link to search for a keyword on X:

https://x.com/search?q=tennis%20partner&src=recent_search_click

In this case the keyword is 'tennis partner'.

Now, I want you to search for all of these keywords and retrieve the details of the posts you find:

[Write your keywords here]

Make sure to include the entire content of the posts, including the names and links to the profiles of the accounts that shared the post.

Prompt for retrieving search results from Reddit:

Here's the link to search for a keyword on Reddit:

https://www.reddit.com/search/?q=tennis+partner&type=comment&cId=749e18f0-e120-4b86-8bb5-a414327c25ab&iId=54af8dfe-6786-4296-a3d9-b3d9d2036ce6

In this case the keyword is 'tennis partner'. Now, I want you to search for all of these keywords and retrieve the details of the posts you find:

[Write your keywords here]

Make sure to include the entire content of the posts, including the names and links to the profiles of the accounts that shared the post.

These prompts ensure that ModularMind will efficiently visit and extract the posts from search results on both platforms.

Step 3: Chain an Analysis Stack

Now we'll complete our automated assistant by chaining an additional stack to analyze the posts retrieved by our initial stack. This chaining process allows us to use the output of the first stack as input for the second, creating a more sophisticated workflow. The new stack will examine the posts, determine if there's a potential lead, and notify you when it identifies promising opportunities. Here's the prompt for the new analysis stack:

Prompt for analyzing search result posts:

I want you to read these posts and notify me if you identify a potential lead or customer for my product. They may be discussing searching for a tennis partner or talking about the problems they're facing with an alternative platform.

For context, [Your app's description].

By chaining this analysis stack to your keyword search, we create a streamlined workflow that not only retrieves relevant posts but also automatically analyzes them for potential leads, saving you time and helping you identify promising opportunities more efficiently.

Step 4: Duplicate and Modify for Different Platforms

To make our assistant work across multiple platforms, we'll duplicate the workflow and adjust it for each platform. Doing this is simple, we simply duplicate the chain and replace the search prompt with the platform's search prompt to create separate workflows for X and Reddit, or any other platform you might want to integrate.

Step 5: Set Up Autorun

Finally, we'll set up our chains to run automatically at regular intervals, ensuring continuous monitoring without manual intervention. Since ModularMind will notify us if it finds something, we can stay updated without constantly checking in, allowing us to focus on other tasks.

Configure both chains to run automatically every 30 minutes:

  1. Hover over the stack and select the chain

  2. Click on Autorun

  3. Name the autorun (e.g., "Lead Hunter on X")

  4. Set the frequency to every 30 minutes and pick a starting date

  5. Click Schedule Autorun

Repeat this process for both X and Reddit chains.

By following these steps, you'll have created an AI-powered assistant that continuously searches for potential leads and tracks competitors on social platforms. This automated social listening approach saves time and ensures you never miss a valuable lead or important mention of your competitors.

Remember, this workflow can be adapted for various social platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram. Simply adjust the search prompts and keywords to fit your specific business needs.

To make this process even easier, we've added this workflow to ModularMind's template collection. You can simply click the Add to Board button, swap out the keywords, and you'll be ready to dominate the social listening game in seconds. Check them out here:
